Hydraulic rod seals
Rod seals sit around the cylinder rod or shaft, sealing the hydraulic fluid as the rod retracts and extends. They must contain high-pressure media, keep contamination out and avoid scoring the rod surface.
Manufactured from advanced elastomers or thermoplastic materials, rod seals withstand high pressure, fluctuating temperatures and rapid reciprocating motion. The sealing lip rides on the rod surface to hold pressure while allowing smooth movement.
