Hydraulic wear rings

Guide rings support pistons and rods, keeping them correctly aligned inside the cylinder bore. By sharing load and minimising deflection they prevent seals from being overloaded or extruded.

Common materials include filled PTFE and other low-friction engineering plastics that offer excellent wear resistance, high temperature capability and chemical stability.

Applications

Wear rings are used on both piston and rod assemblies across cylinders, presses and special machinery. They provide axial and radial guidance while isolating metal-to-metal contact.
