Hydraulic scraper seals
Wiper seals work alongside rod and piston seals to keep external contaminants out of the hydraulic system. As the rod retracts, the scraper removes dirt, dust, water or debris before it can reach the internal fluid.
These seals are typically moulded from elastomeric materials such as polyurethane or rubber for durability, abrasion resistance and flexibility. A precision lip contacts the rod surface to wipe it clean each time it cycles.
Design & installation
Scraper seals are installed in a dedicated groove at the cylinder mouth with the lip facing outward. As the rod moves, the lip sweeps along the surface to remove particles and moisture.
Profiles can include single or double lips, metal cases or integrated dust-lip combinations for harsh environments. We stock a large selection and can supply alternative materials for chemical or extreme temperature exposure.
