NORSOK approved material

NORSOK standards are an internationally recognised set of testing methodologies developed by the Norwegian Petroleum industry. The M-710 standard defines requirements for critical polymeric seals, seats and back-up materials for permanent subsea use. The standard also applies to topside valves in critical gas systems.

Critical Energy, Oil and Gas sealing environments

In today’s Oil and Gas industry, the application environments are constantly changing with increasing demands to improve seal elastomer performance. The industry has established testing standards for sealing materials typically used in applications such as subsea control systems, valves and drilling systems within critical environments.

Eastern Seals (UK) Ltd are a leading global supplier of sealing products to the Energy, Oil and Gas markets. Our wide range of NORSOK approved materials are suitable for a variety of critical services and applications, enabling customers to select the appropriate material compounds to suit their specific needs.

NORSOK M-710 qualification

Our products have been qualified against the strict NORSOK M-710 rapid gas decompression (RGD) requirements and the effects of sour gas (H2S) ageing on polymer materials.

Eastern Seals provide a range of formulations within HNBR, Viton® B, Viton® GLT and FFKM materials that have passed the NORSOK M-710 requirements.
